The City of Chicago will shut off water between 3000 N. Broadway to 3174 N. Broadway in East Lakeview tonight, April 4, from 11 pm – 7 am. The city had originally planned for the closure to take place Tuesday, April 5, but moved up the work so it could minimize the effects on local businesses.
Some businesses on the block, including Intelligentsia Coffee and Argo Tea, may still be effected by the water shut off because they typically open before 7 am. If you live in an apartment in the Lakeview East neighborhood, you may need to wait until after 7 am to grab your morning coffee or tea.
