As every March 14th approaches, we begin to see the deals at various places that serve pizza or pie (or both), offering deals celebrating Pi Day. However, this one will be the first time since 1915 that it can truly be celebrated properly, as Pi’s numerical value begins with 3.1415.
In celebration of Pi Day in Chicago, various establishments are offering deals. We’ve decided to locate a handful that are in the neighborhoods surrounding our Wirtz Residents.
In Lakeview, Blaze Pizza, just next to the Belmont el stop, is selling their pizzas (one per person) for, you guessed it, $3.14.
In Lincoln Square, Café Selmarie is having a special on their pies. “Call ahead to order these special pies for Pi Day: Banana Oreo, coconut cream, apple with cherry and pecan. All whole pies will have a $3.14 discount off their listed price.” (DNA) Their number is (773) 989-5595.
Swedish Bakery in Andersonville will be selling mini-pies for $3.14 each (Apple, Blueberry, or Cherry).
At the Bakers Square in West Rogers Park, get $2 off any pie by asking for the Pi Day discount.
