Who doesn’t love a good burger spot? Well, we’ve got a few in Lakeview that happen to be some of our favorites.
One place to check out is Kuma’s Too on Diversey. The second location of the famed Kuma’s Corner in Avondale, this heavy metal burger bar leaves nothing to be desired. They’ve got great build-your-own mac n’ cheese, but the star of the show here are definitely the burgers. This location is a bit more tame than the location on West Belmont, but the burgers are every bit as good. They have a burger named after many heavy metal bands with a variety of delicious toppings from a fried egg, to pulled pork or even bourbon-poached pears (Lair of the Minotaur – seen right).
Next up is DMK Burger Bar. Sitting at the corner of Sheffield and Wellington, this casual eatery is definitely a favorite of those in the neighborhood. With a wide array of burgers to choose from, and a pretty nice list of fries we might add, DMK will leave you with no doubt why it is one of, not only Lakeview’s, but Chicago’s favorite burgers the last handful of years.
Finally, we have Rock-It Burger Bar in Wrigleyville. This place is more than just somewhere to go before or after a Cubs game. Rock-It Burger bar is a burger destination in Wrigleyville, and has the menu to back it up. With everything from your standard burger, up to a venison and foie gras burger, Rock-It really has a something for any palate.
