We love Lakeview. The neighborhood is home to many of Wirtz Residential’s apartment communities. It is also home to many of our favorite restaurants and nightlife spots. With the winter quickly approaching, we thought this would be a great time to share some of our favorite places in Lakeview and Lakeview East for a cozy night out.
With an extensive wine menu and a warm fireplace, 404 Wine Bar is a great Lakeview spot to spend an evening.

Home Bistro’s name itself brings to mind coziness and warmth. The BYOB restaurant will make you feel like you’re at a dinner party hosted by a fantastic chef. The staff is friendly and the room is warm and relaxing (with some entertaining quotes on the walls too). Their menu is centered around comfort foods from France and the Netherlands. Grab a few friends and enjoy a warm, enjoyable night at Home Bistro.

Uncommon Ground has been a staple of the Wrigleyville/Lakeview neighborhood for over 20 years. Aside from offering exceptional food and drink, it is also a music venue that hosts singer/songwriters from all over the world. The interior is definitely cozy, with lots of exposed brick, wood furnishings and art by local artists.

Pastoral is a small local chain of artesian wine and cheese shops. Bar Pastoral is their only sit down restaurant. Fortunately for Lakeview residents, it is located in the neighborhood.
The intimate restaurant features a seasonal menu that includes items like mushroom fondue, cheddar ale soup and pan roasted quail. It also includes an excellent selection of cheeses from around the world.
